Building Sustainability

Timber’s environmental credentials and its ability to contribute to energy efficient construction will place timber in a strong position to satisfy regulations for sustainability being considered for inclusion in the Building Code of Australia.

However, until there is a definition of sustainability which is supported by both regulators and practitioners, we are unable here to define fully timber’s contribution to sustainability in the built environment.
