MRTFC Design and Construction Manual - Class 1a Buildings

 

This manual outlines construction requirements for Class 1a Buildings and associated Class 10 Buildings with respect to fire separation and noise control; including materials and construction practices.

 

NOTE:  The Building Code of Australia (BCA) performance requirements vary from State to State around Australia.  When using this manual, please ensure that the details selected meet the current fire and sound perfomance requirements of the BCA for your State;  particularly the acoustic requirements between dwellings in the roof and sub-floor spaces.

This manual contains the design requirements and building practices to meet the BCA objectives for both fire and sound performance for Class 2 and 3 Buildings using timber construction.
