Recycled TimberInterim Standards - Recycled Timber Products
Two Interim Industry Standards have been prepared under a project supported by Forest & Wood Products Australia and the Department of Tourism, Regional Development & Infrastructure - Qld with input and development from stakeholders, including industry associations, representatives of the recycled timber industry, government, researchers and specifiers.
The two Interim Standards are: (1) Recycled Timber - Visually Stress Graded Recycled Timber for Structural Purposes and (2) Recycled Timber - Visually Graded Recycled Decorative Products and are downloadable from below.
It is intended that these interim standards will be applied and used for a period of time after which they will be reviewed and amended as needed prior to being submitted to Standards Australia for consideration for development as a formal Australian Standard.
Span Tables - Recycled Structural Products
With the development of the Recycled Timber Grading Rules for Structural products, span tables have now been prepared for the four species groups (A to D) using the RG1 recycled grade for wind classifications N1 to N3 and C1 to C2.
The following span tables are provided for applications such as decking boards, deck bearers and joists through to roof beam.
