Timber Stairs, Balustrades and Handrails - external and internal

A new 52-page design manual that provides a listing of commonly used terminology, Building Code of Australia (BCA) requirements, timber/species selection, member design span tables and fixings through to finishing for timber stairs, balustrades and handrails.  Examples are provided illustrating a practical method for calculating the number of required rises as well as quantity calculations.

 

It allows teachers to copy information out in order to prepare student handout notes or incorporate into their existing class presentations.
